An Exorcism of Painting
This sculpture was created out of materials generated from a series of failed paintings. The frustration of painting and repainting the same canvases led to amassing a large amount of muslin cleaning rags and dried paint scrapings. Releasing a character from its two dimensional space allowed me to liberate myself from feeling required to continue to paint.
